"This Better Not Be The Last SC/ND Tailgate!!!"
Welcome to my 34th annual Southern Cal vs. Notre Dame tailgate.
As most of you know, my sports life pretty much centers around the USC/Notre Dame game. I've been lucky enough to have attended every USC/ND game since 1990. My license plates read SCBTND and FORTHN9. My email addresses are scbtnd@yahoo.com and scbtnd@gmail.com. My individual Holiday cards always featured photos of USC beating ND. And the 2005 USC at ND weekend will always be the best sports weekend of my enitre life....
SC is trying to move the game permantly to September, but if ND doesn't agree, and this series ends, you won't hear from me for months......
THIS BEETER NOT BE MY LAST USC VS. ND TAILGATE!!
Location & Itinerary
Our tailgate will be located in the Stadium Parking Lot, just steps south of Notre Dame stadium, outside of the Frank Leahey gate, on the southern end of the stadium. We will have our usual spot in the first row of the lot marked by the RED SQUARED AREA on the map below. Walk along Moose Krause Circle (the closed street next to the Stadium) and you will walk past our tailgate.
You won't miss us - we are always the only USC tailgate in the Stadium Lot surrounded by a sea of Notre Dame tailgates - it's an awesome experience. Just look for the oasis of USC canopies and two USC flags. If you still can't find us, don't hesitate to text me at 619-865-2690.
The Stadium Parking Lot opens at 8am (ET) and we plan to be one of the first cars in the lot. The tailgate should be up and running by 9am with catered BBQ lunch served at 4:00pm and the Great Lakes Brass Band second line (funeral) parade will end at our tailgarte at 5:15/30pm and perform at our tailgate until 6pm. We will start to break down the tailagte at around 6:30pm ET so we can make it into the stadium by 7pm ET for all the pre game pageantry.

Food
The tailgate will be catered again by The Prized Pig who will deliver ribs, pulled pork, and sausages for everyone. We plan to have lunch there by 4:00pm. I will also provide all the tailgate essentials - beer, water, soda, chips, and desserts.
You do not need to bring anything to the tailgate BUT we always run out of ice and beer - so feel free to bring a six pack of your favorite beer or a bag of ice. We will have more than enough cooler space for it.
I will again be co hosting the tailgate with fellow Trojan Steve Ozinga. Steve will bring a TV so we can watch all the days games. Between us we will have four USC canopies (plenty of cover from the rain), coolers, tables, and bunch of chairs. If you bring your own gear (chairs, coolers, etc) you can store them in my rental van during the game to be picked up after.
Entertaiment
If this is the last USC vs. Notre Dame game, then we're going to celebrate it with a New Orleans Brass Band second line funeral parade!! The Great Lakes Brass band will begin the second line at the Embassay Suites across the street from the stadium at 4:30. The second line will go through the Stadium Lot tailgates and end up at our tailgate between 5:15/30pm to perform for us until 6.

Who Can Attend
Everyone and anyone can attend the tailgate so feel free to forward this website to any of your friends.
Please note, our tailgate becomes a haven for USC fans once the buses arrive from Chicago. The buses park by the Hockey area and you will walk right by our tailgate on your way to the stadium and/or campus. Feel free to stop by early and often.
I can't wait to see everyone this Saturday!!!!
